Cases ported for a Polini
177. The piston is oversized. As soon as I can
find a new crank, I'm going to cut that. |

The Story |
I bought a rusted
P150 motor from Sportique to
turn my P125 into Street racer. Everyone else
was going fast... I ported it for a Polini 177, cut
the crank, and put in a Malossi 4 plate clutch.
This bike screamed. The clutch however kept
giving me problems and at one point the basket
blew up. I went back to a stock clutch. On the
way back from Movin' on Up 4. the clutch bound
up completely. I was going about 70 and figured I
was dead. I thought it was a hard seize, but the
top end was fine. But it never ran the same
again. There was a constant knocking in the
engine and I could not pinpoint it. After a loose circlip caused the barrel
to bind up, I decided to swap the crank- which was the only part
I'd not replaced. I am now running a stock crank and an
oversized Polini 177. I just had to replace the fuel tap
because some jackass messed around with it at work.
